TDP: IAS officers should unmask corrupt politicians

Hyderabad, Feb 4: Telugu Desam party has demanded that the IAS officers, who were being questioned by the CBI in connection with different scams, should disclose the names of politicians, who had committed those irregularities during the regime of Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Mandava Venkateswara Rao alleged that several financial irregularities were committed during the YSR regime and officials, who had obliged, were now being victimized. He said that IAS officials should disclose the names of the corrupt ministers to the CBI and ensure that they were punished. He also alleged that the government was trying to escape from public onslaught by creating a rift between the IAS and IPS officials.

Another TD leader Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy has demanded that the Chief Minister N  Kiran Kumar Reddy disclose the discussions he had with IAS officers.

It may be mentioned here that more than 70 officials met the Chief Minister in an unprecedented manner on Friday evening and complained to him about the harassment being meted out to them by the CBI. They have demanded free legal aid to the arrested officers. They also asked the CM to advise the CBI officers to question IAS officers in their own chambers instead of calling them to the Dil Kusha guest house or their office.
