TRS won’t contest if CBN writes to Centre: KTR

Hyderabad, Feb 18: Telangana Rashtra Samithi senior leader and Sircilla MLA Kalwakuntla Tarakarama Rao on Saturday lambasted the TDP Telangana Forum leaders for commenting that there was no relation between the ensuing by-elections in the region and the Telangana demand.

Speaking to media persons, Tarakarama Rao said that though winning six Assembly seats in the by-election was of no consequence, the TRS would be in the fray only to prove the Telangana sentiment among the people of the region. He also challenged that the TRS would refrain from contesting the by-poll immediately if TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu wrote to Centre to table Telangana Bill in Parliament. He also said that the TRS would refrain from contest and give three seats each to the Congress and TDP if a Telangana resolution was introduced in the Assembly.
