Hyderabad, Feb 21: TDP Telangana Forum convener Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao has said that his party would not have TRS MLA Harish Rao even as an attender.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Yerrabelli said that TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, his son K T Ramarao and nephew Harish Rao should stop enacting “dramas” at least now.
It may be recalled that Harish Rao had declared that he was ready to work as an attender in the TDP office if that party chief N Chandrababu Naidu gave a letter to the Union government proclaiming support to formation of separate Telangana State.
Yerrabelli has alleged that the “trio” was real traitors of Telangana. He said that no one would employ such people even as attenders as they had betrayed the people of the region. He said that KCR should field candidates without party affiliations in the by-elections if he has any commitment for Telangana State. He also reiterated his party’s call for boycott of by-elections till Telangana was achieved. He asked Harish Rao whether his party was ready to take this challenge. He has also offered to support the TRS men in the elections if they resigned from the party and contested as Independents.
Alleging that KCR was sold out to the Congress, Yerrabelli said that the people of the region had lost faith in the TRS. He reminded the TRS leaders that Naidu had already written letters to Union ministers Pranab Mukherjee and Chidambaram extending support to Telangana and questioned about the need for writing another letter. He that said the TRS was doing nothing other than demanding a letter from Chandrababu Naidu. He also alleged that KCR was sold out to the Congress for bagging Polavaram tenders.
Asked whether TDP would extend support to Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who was seeking re-election as an Independent from Nagarkurnool, Yerrabelli said that his party would consider if he sought their support. He said that it was yet to be clarified if Jagan was behind Nagam’s resignation or the Telangana demand. He has alleged that the Speaker was indirectly cooperating with the government by not allowing the Assembly to function normally.
