Withdraw cases against students: Ramaiah

Hyderabad, Feb 5: Well-known educationist and MLC Chukka Ramaiah on Sunday demanded that the State government take immediate steps to withdraw criminal cases registered against the students who participated in the Telangana agitation.

The MLC visited the relay hunger strike camp organized by a voluntary organization “Telangana Amaraveerula Saakshi” at Indira Park on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chukka Ramaiah called upon the students to join the agitation for separate Telangana State as their “mother land” was being exploited and discriminated ruthlessly. He also appealed to the State government to realize the fact that the students did not resort to vandalism with criminal bent of mind. He has urged the Kiran Kumar Reddy government to withdraw all the cases filed against students forthwith.
