Focusing on promotion of Brand Andhra

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Wednesday that he is focusing on promotion of 'Brand Andhra Pradesh' to attract more investments.

The Chief Minister told media representatives on the third day of the World Economic Forum (WEF) that Andhra Pradesh is industry-friendly and by adopting speed of doing business it is according permissions to companies within no time.

In addition, an escrow account and other incentives are being provided to attract investments and promote industrialisation.

He said that the state government will monitor the progress of investment proposals in real time, according to an official release.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is keen on introducing technology in the agricultural sector.

He revealed that the state government has signed MoUs to export green ammonia to other countries.

In addition to development in several sectors to provide employment opportunities to youth, the state government is focussing on the development of Amaravati as a green and blue city.

Naidu stated that efforts are on to set up a global leadership centre in Amaravati.

Several global entrepreneurs met CM Naidu and discussed the investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.

Tamara Hospitality founder and executive chair of the board Shruti Shibulal met the Chief Minister and discussed opportunities in the hospitality sector in Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister said that the Andhra Pradesh government has granted industry status to tourism to promote tourism and hospitality sectors.

The Chief Minister said that there are abundant opportunities for Godavari river cruise tourism from Polavaram to Bhadrachalam.

He said more opportunities are also available for development of tourism in Konaseema, Gandikota, Araku and Lambasingi.

Earlier, on Monday, CM Naidu said that the NDA government has restored the brand image of Andhra Pradesh in the past 18 months.

He claimed that as a result of this, Andhra Pradesh was able to attract 25 per cent of total investments that came in the country.

Addressing the Telugu Diaspora in Zurich, the Chief Minister stated that Google has come forward to set up AI data centre at Visakhapatnam and RSLR Mittal going to set up steel plant with an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore. The AM Green company is going to make a massive investment on Green Ammonia plant at Kakinada.

Telugu Diaspora from 20 countries attended the programme, organsied on the first day of the Chief Minister’s four-day visit to attend World Economic Forum meeting.
