Johnny Master’s Wife Faces Big Setback

The ongoing tussle within the Telugu Cine and TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association has taken a fresh turn, with the Film Federation stepping in to address the internal dispute. In an emergency meeting convened under the federation’s supervision, the existing executive body headed by Sumalatha was dissolved. The move effectively ended her tenure as president of the dancers’ association and has now paved the way for a fresh leadership process.

The meeting reportedly witnessed a significant gathering of association members, with more than 225 dancers from different groups attending the proceedings. Sumalatha’s camp and choreographer Raghu Master’s faction put forward their respective positions as discussions centred on the developments within the union and its future functioning. The meeting eventually turned into a show of support, with the numbers strongly reflecting the mood among those present.

According to the figures announced at the meeting, only 11 members reportedly backed Sumalatha, while more than 214 members expressed support for Raghu Master. Following the overwhelming majority in favour of the latter camp, the federation resolved to dissolve the existing executive committee. Some members had reportedly raised objections over the functioning of the association and alleged that decisions were being taken without adequate consultation, contributing to the growing friction.

With the previous committee now dissolved, attention has shifted towards the next round of elections. The Film Federation has reportedly scheduled the election for the new executive body of the Dancers’ Association on October 11. The upcoming polls are expected to determine the association’s new leadership and could mark a new chapter following the recent internal power struggle.
