The Karnataka College Education Department has directed Government First Grade Colleges across the state to prohibit students from taking selfies, recording videos and making social media reels during academic tours."},{"text":"As per a circular issued by the Commissioner’s Office, colleges must obtain prior permission before organising any academic tour and submit tour proposals along with undertakings from students and parents. Students must also be briefed about the rules before departure. Lecturers accompanying the students have been asked to closely monitor them and ensure that nobody visits places outside the approved itinerary.
