Priyadarshan confirms his exit from 'Hera Pheri 3'
Director Priyadarshan has confirmed that he will not be part of the much-anticipated Hera Pheri 3, casting doubts on the film's future. This announcement comes in the wake of ongoing legal troubles and personal conflicts surrounding the movie.
Earlier this year, actor Paresh Rawal had initially exited the project, only to later rejoin. In a recent interview with Variety India, the producer of Hera Pheri 3 assured that the project is progressing without Priyadarshan's involvement. However, Priyadarshan later reiterated his departure from the film, expressing skepticism about the movie ever making it to the big screen. The situation is further complicated by the ownership rights of the film.
Seven Arts International claims to currently hold the rights for the original Malayalam film, Ramji Rao Speaking, on which Hera Pheri (2000) was based. They have contested Firoz Nadiadwala's rights to make the sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), and have now raised concerns over the production of Hera Pheri 3. With legal battles and ownership disputes looming over the franchise, the fate of Hera Pheri 3 remains uncertain.
