Rana on 'Dhurandhar 2' beating 'BB 2'

Rana Daggubati, renowned for his role in 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', has responded to the film's remarkable success at the North American box office, where it outperformed 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'. Directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, the spy-action thriller has set a new milestone with a staggering USD 24.39 million in earnings.

In an interview with Variety India, Daggubati expressed his admiration for the film's achievement, stating, 'It's good. It's a decade later, but it's still very good. I think we’re all still touching the tip of the iceberg.' 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has surpassed 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' in the US, collecting over USD 20.80 million, a record set over nine years ago. Daggubati also emphasized the significance of local cinema, drawing parallels to the success of Korean and American films in resonating with global audiences.

He highlighted the increasing global appeal of Indian cinema and urged filmmakers to harness the power of storytelling. On a global scale, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has already crossed the Rs 1,500 crore mark and aims to surpass 'Pushpa 2' and 'Baahubali 2' to become the highest-grossing Indian film. The ultimate goal is to surpass 'Dangal', which currently holds the top spot with Rs 2,070 crore in box office earnings.
