Falcon Scam Kingpin Nabbed
In a major breakthrough, the Telangana Crime Investigation Department on Monday arrested Amar Deep, Managing Director of the Falcon Group, in connection with a massive digital investment scam. Amar Deep was intercepted in Mumbai soon after his arrival from the Gulf, following a lookout circular issued by the CID after he allegedly fled to Dubai when the scam surfaced.
According to investigators, the accused siphoned off around ₹850 crore by luring investors through app-based digital deposit schemes promising high returns. The broader scam involved the Falcon Invoice Discounting Application, through which fake deals were created in the names of reputed MNCs. Police say the group collected over ₹4,215 crore from 7,056 depositors, cheating more than 4,000 victims across the country. With Amar Deep’s arrest, the total number of accused held in the case has risen to ten, as CID intensifies efforts to unravel one of Telangana’s biggest digital frauds.
