Mythri Makers Warns Public Against Fake Insta Account
Popular Telugu production banner Mythri Movie Makers has once again alerted the public about a fraudster misusing the name of its producer Naveen Yerneni on Instagram. The production house revealed that an individual is approaching people under false pretenses, claiming to be the producer and using a specific phone number and fake social media account. Mythri urged everyone to immediately report the number and the fake Instagram handle, clearly stating that all official communication will only come through their verified handle @MythriOfficial.
This is not the first time such a warning has been issued. Earlier this month too, Mythri cautioned aspiring actors and the general public about fake casting calls and impersonation scams. The banner reiterated that all casting announcements are made only through their official social media handles and advised people not to engage with any individuals or agencies claiming association with them outside these channels.
The issue has become a growing menace across the Indian film industry. Recently, Raaj Kamal Films International, owned by Kamal Haasan, also issued a public clarification denying any involvement of casting agents and warning of legal action against impersonators. Several other production houses and actors across Telugu and Tamil cinema have raised similar red flags, making it clear that aspiring artistes must stay alert and verify sources before responding to casting calls. For common people and newcomers chasing film dreams, one simple rule stands out — verify before you trust.
