Rahman & Prabhudeva to ‘Moonwalk’

Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman is set to make his long-awaited acting debut in director Manoj N S’s upcoming film Moonwalk*, which stars Prabhudeva in the lead. The film is being produced by Behindwoods Productions.

In a rare double treat for fans, Rahman has not only composed but also sung all five songs in the film. Even more intriguing, he will appear on screen as a fictional “angry young film director,” adding a meta twist to the narrative. Director Manoj N S said Rahman’s presence brings a special charm, especially in the song Mayile, where he shares screen space with Prabhudeva.

Prabhudeva will be seen as ‘Babootty’, a young film choreographer, while Yogi Babu appears in multiple surprise roles, underlining the film’s quirky tone. Packed with humour and an ensemble cast, Moonwalk is slated for a theatrical release in May 2026, promising a fresh and unexpected cinematic experience.
