Shekhar Kapur Developing Global Romance Series for OTT

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur is developing a major international romance series for a leading global OTT platform. According to sources, the tentpole project is based on the bestselling US novel My Name Is Memory and will be developed, produced, and directed by Kapur as part of his international slate, rather than a return to Indian-centric storytelling.

Known for acclaimed works like Bandit Queen, Masoom, and the Oscar-nominated Elizabeth, Kapur recently delivered the internationally celebrated What’s Love Got to Do with It?. The new series comes on the back of his Padma Bhushan honour in 2025, reaffirming his stature as a filmmaker with a strong cross-border cinematic vision.
