Telangana Bags ₹22,000+ Crore Tourism Investments
Telangana secured ₹22,324 crore in tourism investment commitments in 2025, marking a breakout year for the sector, according to a year-end review released on Wednesday. Driven by the Telangana Tourism Policy 2025–2030, the inflows are expected to generate around 90,000 jobs and significantly upgrade the state’s tourism infrastructure.
The momentum was powered by two marquee events—the Tourism Conclave 2025, which attracted ₹15,279 crore across 30 projects, and the Telangana Rising Global Summit, adding ₹7,045 crore more. High-profile global investors committed to convention, cultural, and wellness projects, boosting Telangana’s international profile.
Cultural branding also surged with Hyderabad hosting Miss World 2025 and setting two Guinness World Records during Bathukamma. On the ground, safety and digitisation advanced with a dedicated Tourist Police unit, a unified online tourism portal, GIS mapping, and digital travel cards. With 78 of 123 projects completed and a bold 2026 roadmap—including heli-tourism, premium wedding destinations, and global festivals—Telangana is positioning itself as a premier tourism hub.
