Ameesha Takes a Dig at Actresses

Ameesha Patel has once again stirred up Bollywood with some blunt comments about celebrity entourages. During an Ask Me Anything session on X, the Gadar actress was asked about stars taking large entourages to film shoots at producers’ expense. Ameesha didn’t hold back, saying she hopes those actresses maintain the same lavish entourage in their personal lives too—without a producer paying the bill.

Ameesha claimed that for some actresses, the cost of their entourage during promotions can be so high that it is comparable to the opening-day collection of their films. She also questioned the way some younger actresses allegedly use PR machinery to project themselves as major stars. In May, she had similarly taken aim at actresses who, according to her, call themselves No. 1 or No. 2 despite not having a film that crossed ₹200 crore.

Ameesha’s message was pretty direct: don’t let PR create a superstar image—let the box office and the work speak. Her latest comments have once again put the spotlight on Bollywood’s celebrity culture, where stardom, promotion budgets and massive entourages continue to be hot topics.
