Tragic Accident in Washington: Telugu Couple Killed

A devastating incident occurred on Interstate 95 (I-95) highway in Charlotte, Maryland, claiming the lives of Krishna Kishore Kotikalapudi, 50, and his wife Appana Venkata Asha, 48, both from West Godavari. Travelling in their minivan, the couple's journey took a tragic turn when a SUV, traveling in the wrong direction, collided head-on with their vehicle. Krishna Kishore was driving, while Asha was seated in the front passenger seat. Their 23-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son, who were in the rear seats, survived the crash but sustained injuries and were rushed to a trauma center. The family was on their way home to Virginia after their flight, originally bound for Dulles Airport in Washington, was diverted to New York due to adverse weather conditions. The SUV driver, who may have been unfit to drive, emerged unharmed and remained at the scene.
